There are indications that Nigeria may soon join other African countries in implementing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), a free trade pact that it had earlier declined assent.

One of such indications is the Presidential Committee on the Impact and Readiness Assessment of the Agreement Establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) which was inaugurated last week by President Muhammadu Buhari.
