Madagascar has launched its first exploration licensing round in more than a decade, offering 44 offshore blocks in the round which will run from November 7 to May 30, 2019, a government agency said.
The blocks are located in the Morondova Basin, located off the west coast of the large island of Madagascar, which is divided from Mozambique by the Mozambican Channel in the Indian Ocean.
