Ethiopia’s Public-Private Partnerships Directorate General (PPP-DG) has expanded the recently launched Request for Pre-Qualification (RfQ) for solar projects from 500 MW to 750 MW. The process now covers not four but six sites — Weranso, Welenchiti, Humera and Mekele, as well as the newly-added Metema/Bahir Dar and Hurso.
