The United States of America has congratulated Ghana and the African Union Commission on the official opening and handing over of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat in Accra.

According to the US, the AfCFTA is an important milestone in promoting a sustainable trade and investment environment in Ghana as well as the integration of African economies.
