India lends $141 million to Uganda to build more power lines

India lends $141 million to Uganda to build more power lines

The Export and Import Bank of India has committed to lend $141 million (about Shs492 billion) to the Uganda government to build electricity transmission lines.

The bank has also pledged another loan of $61m (about Shs214 billion) to improve dairy processing in the country.
