US lawmakers call for scrapping duties on Moroccan fertilizers

Over 83 US congressmen and congresswomen on Friday, March 18 sent a letter to the US International Trade Commission (ITC), the US foreign trade watchdog, requesting the federal agency to suspend import tariffs on fertilizers coming from Morocco, Trinidad and Tobago.

The bipartisan letter aims to address the issue of skyrocketing fertilizers prices by increasing market supply.
