The Tanzanian government recently signed contracts worth $667 million with three Australian companies to mine graphite and rare earths.
The framework agreements are part of a push by Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan to boost the mining sector’s contribution to the nation’s economy to at least 10 percent by 2025.
