On July 12, ReconAfrica provided an update on its petroleum and gas exploration activities in Namibia’s Kavango Basin. The Canadian company, already involved in exploration in the region, has been authorized by the Namibian Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism to drill 12 more exploration wells in Petroleum Exploration License (PEL) 73. The latter is located in the northeastern part of the country.
The company plans to carry out these activities between July 2023 and July 2026.
