The Legal Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking qualified lawyers to fill a Counsel/Senior Counsel position in its division (i.e., the Country Unit) in charge of applying the law of the Fund on matters pertaining to country operations and general policies of the Fund. This position is based at IMF headquarters in Washington, D.C. However, some travel to IMF member countries is expected.

Candidates must possess an LLM, JD, LLB, or equivalent, and must be eligible to practice law in one or more jurisdictions. In addition, candidates must possess a minimum of four years of professional legal experience in financial/commercial legal practice, central banking, banking regulation, or government and have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
