Togo hosts DRC President for talks on regional cooperation

Faure Gnassingbé, President of the Council of Ministers of Togo, met Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) President Felix Tshisekedi in Lomé recently for talks.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed cooperation between Lomé and Kinshasa and discussed inter-regional integration. Tshisekedi praised Gnassingbé’s role after the Togolese leader was appointed African Union mediator in April 2025. That mediation helped lead to the signing of a peace agreement between the DRC and Rwanda in Washington in November 2025.
