LCIA withdraws from Mauritius to pave the way for a new MIAC

The London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and the government of Mauritius have mutually agreed to terminate the 2012 Joint Venture Agreement which established the LCIA-MIAC Arbitration Centre – a focal point for international arbitration in Africa for the past seven years – making way for a new, independently-run centre, called simply Mauritius International Arbitration Centre (MIAC).
