Research Fellow in International Dispute Settlement (PhD candidate) Vacancy

The Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law conducts research in the areas of European law of civil procedure, international litigation and arbitration and dispute resolution in the financial markets. Applications are now open for highly qualified candidates for two full-time positions as: Research Fellow in International Dispute Settlement (PhD candidate) (m/f) in the Research Department of International Law and Dispute Resolution. The positions are for 24 months’ fixed-term contract with a possible contract extension for 40 hrs/week.

The applicants are required to have obtained at least a Masters degree in Law with outstanding results and to have a deep knowledge of international public law. The successful candidates should demonstrate a great interest and curiosity for fundamental research and have a high potential to develop excellence in academic research. Proficiency in English is compulsory (in written and oral); further language skills (in French and German notably) are of advantage.

Salary and social benefits are provided according to the Luxembourgish legal requirements.
