US satellite operator, GlobalStar has received authorization from the Kenyan telecom regulator to operate in the country.

With the addition of Kenya to its portfolio of operations, along with Brazil and Canada, GlobalStar (which currently operates a constellation of low earth orbit satellites for voice and data) is expected to cover an additional 300 million people with its satellite telecom services.
