The first mortgage bank in Ethiopia, Goh Betoch Bank, has officially started services in Addis Ababa. The bank has been established with the intent to fully focus on the provision of loans for house construction.

Adanech Abiebie, Mayor of Addis Ababa, speaking during the inauguration, said the Bank will have a role to play in bridging the gap between demand and supply of housing in Addis Ababa.
