Algeria and Japan recently signed a tax treaty on non-double taxation in Algiers to contribute to the development of economic relations between the two countries. The agreement was initialled by Minister of Finance, Brahim Djamel Kassali, and Japanese Ambassador to Algeria, Kono Akira.
Mr. Kassali emphasized that, in addition to non-double taxation and legal certainty, this cooperation document covers “mutual administrative assistance in the exchange of information to combat tax evasion, as well as assistance in recovery”.
