Egypt and EIB discuss bolstering partnership and collaboration in electricity sector

Within the framework of bolstering cooperation between Egypt’s electricity sector and the European Investment Bank (EIB), Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Mahmoud Esmat recently met with EIB’s head of the Cairo regional office, Guido Clary.

Discussions during the meeting centred on identifying opportunities for collaboration between the ministry and the EIB, including enhancing electrical connections with neighboring countries, establishing distribution network control centres, supporting the development of a unified grid, and advancing projects in renewable energy.
