The University of Dar es Salaam, in partnership with China’s Zhejiang Normal University, has inaugurated the China-Africa Regional Cooperation Centre for Digital Education, aimed at accelerating the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) in African classrooms.
The new centre, launched on September 2, will focus on improving digital literacy among teachers, especially in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and embedding ICT into school curricula in line with Tanzania’s revised education policy.
